Itinerary
- 8:30 a.m. – Departure: We will pick you up at your hotel or at a prearranged meeting point in Arequipa. We will depart for the Añashuayco quarries, located 30 minutes from the city.
- Añashuayco Quarries: Take a guided tour of the active quarries, where you can observe the work of master stonemasons. Learn how they carve sillar (volcanic rock), its uses in colonial architecture, and its historical significance.
- Culebrillas Canyon: We visited Culebrillas Canyon, a natural formation of volcanic origin with pre-Columbian engravings.
- Photography: Take time to photograph monumental sculptures made of sillar stone.
- 12:30 p.m. – Return: We return to Arequipa. Also available in the afternoon: 2:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
