Ausangate + Mountain of Colors 4 Days / 3 Night
We will pick you up at your hotel at 5:00 a.m. and transfer you to Tinki (3 hours). We will begin trekking towards Upis with views of the snow-capped Ausangate mountain. We will have lunch along the route and arrive at the campsite. You will have the option to bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight stay at the camp in Upis.
We take a morning hike towards Abra Arapa (4,800 m.a.s.l.). We descend towards the Yanacocha and Pucacocha lakes. We have lunch on the route and rest at the camp near Pucacocha. Overnight stay at the camp.
We begin the ascent to the highest point of the trek: the Palomani Pass (5,100 m above sea level). Enjoy breathtaking views of the Ausangate glacier and grazing alpacas. We descend towards the camp at Hanchipata. Overnight stay at the camp.
We leave early for Vinicunca. We hike for 1.5 to 2 hours to the viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain (5,036 m.a.s.l.). Enjoy time for photos and the guide’s explanation. We return to the meeting point and have lunch. Transportation will take you back to Cusco. We arrived at approximately 6:00 p.m.
