Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about your next adventure? Here we answer the most common questions so you can plan your trip to Cusco with complete peace of mind.

How far in advance should I book Machu Picchu?

We recommend booking at least 2 to 3 months in advance, especially if you plan to travel during peak season (May to October) or wish to hike Huayna Picchu, as permits are very limited.

How can I avoid altitude sickness (soroche) in Cusco?

We advise resting on your first day, walking slowly, eating light, and drinking plenty of water or traditional coca tea. It's ideal to acclimate in Cusco or the Sacred Valley for a couple of days before demanding treks.

What is the best time to visit Cusco and the Andes?

The dry season (May to October) offers sunny days and clear skies, ideal for hiking. However, the rainy season (November to April) has its own charm, with much greener landscapes and fewer tourists.

Are airport transfers included?

Yes, all our multi-day tour packages include pickup from Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport to your downtown hotel in Cusco for your total comfort and safety.

What kind of clothes should I pack for the tours?

The Andean climate is very changeable. We recommend dressing in "layers": light and breathable clothing for the midday sun, and warm jackets or windbreakers for cold mornings and nights.

Do tours include meals or should I bring extra money?

It depends on the specific tour. Multi-day treks (like the Inca Trail) include all meals. Full-day tours (like Sacred Valley) usually include a buffet lunch. Details are always provided in the itinerary.

Do I need travel insurance for adventure routes?

It is highly recommended to travel with insurance that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, and adventure activities at altitude if you plan on long treks.

What payment methods do you accept for bookings?

We accept 100% secure payments via credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), international bank transfers, or deposits through PayPal and Western Union.
