Choquequirao Trek 5 Days / 4 Night
We picked up at the hotel at 5:00 a.m. and headed towards Cachora. We began the trek from Capuliyoc, with views of the Apurímac Canyon. We descended to Chiquisca (1,900 meters above sea level). Overnight stay at the campsite.
We have breakfast early. We make the demanding climb to Marampata (2,900 meters above sea level). We have lunch. We walk towards the camp near Choquequirao. Overnight stay at the camp.
We have breakfast. We spend the whole day exploring the archaeological complex of Choquequirao. Join the guided tour of temples, ceremonial terraces, residences, and agricultural terraces. Enjoy the afternoon free to rest or continue exploring on your own. Overnight stay at the camp.
We have breakfast. We begin the return hike, descending to Marampata and then to Chiquisca. Overnight stay at the camp.
We have breakfast. We make the final ascent to Capuliyoc. We have lunch. We return to Cusco by private transport. We arrive at the hotel between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
